Covid Policy Update: March 2021

SAA Families,

Many have inquired recently about our Covid Policy and Mask Mandate for the upcoming Spring Season. From the beginning, SAA set forth to follow the rules and recommendations of our State, Local Government, CDC Recommendations, and School District, that policy has not changed. Heading into Spring Sports we still face many challenges in this New Covid World, it's a part of the way of life, and we all will need to continue the fight so we can beat it and move back to a normal way of life!

After discussing as a Board, and following the recommendations of the State, Local Government, CDC and Schools we are implementing the following rules for this Spring, for our IN-HOUSE Sports; please keep in mind, all Travel, Tournament teams and Clubs will continue to follow the policies set forth by their respected sport's governing bodies.

-Masks: All members are required to wear their mask upon entering and leaving the fields, players included. At all times, our coaches, volunteers, referees, umpires and spectators must keep their mask on. Players on the bench or in the dugout will be recommended to have their mask on if they cannot be socially distanced. Players in the game or on the field are not required to keep their masks on, but families that feel more comfortable with enforcing it on their children are more than welcome to.

-Spectators at Games: As mentioned above, will be required to wear a mask the whole time they're at a game, and remain socially distanced from others. There will be a limit of two (2) spectators per child at the games. Realizing the Township Fields, which also include other amenities and are open to the public, may be different than some of the School Fields in terms of Spectator Limits, please check in with your coach and League Director to ensure you're following the Spectator Policy for that field.

-Use of Equipment: SAA strongly recommends that all children have their own equipment for their respected sports, our goal is to keep everyone safe, and limiting the sharing of equipment is one way to ensure that. In cases where that is not feasible, we ask our coaches and families to efficiently clean and wipe down any shared equipment between usage.

We've come a long way in the last year, our world has changed but as a community we've gotten stronger, let's continue our diligence so we can keep the games going for the kids!

Thank you!

SAA Board of Directors
