The Springfield Athletic Association has been dedicated to serving kids in the Springfield School District from Springfield, Morton and Swarthmore since 1943. A wide range of intramural and travel programs are available to kids from kindergarten through high school.
It all starts with volunteers. In 1943 it was the dedication of Bill
Crowell, and several other men and women to get the SAA going with just
one single baseball team. Today the SAA has 100 plus teams in baseball
and much much more. We are always looking for more volunteers committed to creating a positive and safe environment for the kids in our community.
Each
month, Sept. - June, SAA program directors meet on the 2nd Wed. of the
month, 8 PM at Old Central School (behind Wawa). Program directors
provide updates and other program-wide matters are discussed. Everyone
is invited to attend. There is always a forum open to members.
