General Try-Out Info:

*  Players must attend 2 out of 3 tryouts.

*  Players must be registered and paid in full with the SAA prior to first try-out.

*  Must bring the following paperwork to the first try-out:

*  Copy of original birth certificate w/ raised seal (New Players Only).  Hospital birth announcements are not acceptable.

*  EPYSA Medical Release form (www.epysa.org)

*  EPYSA RG-6 Participant Registration form  (www.epysa.org)

*  Current school photo to be used for player card.  1" x 1" face picture is best.

*  No player, new or returning, is guaranteed a spot on a team.

*  No player, new or returning, is guaranteed to play for a certain coach, or play with their friends, or play on their previous team.

 

Travel fees:

*  Fee must be turned in at first try-out attended.

*  $100.00 per player, check payable to SAA.

 

2012 / 2013 Fall Season Eligible birth dates:

*  Born Between:

U9:  8/1/03 thru 7/31/04

U10:  8/1/02 thru 7/31/03

U11:  8/1/01 thru 7/31/02

U12:  8/1/00 thru 7/31/01

U13:  8/1/99 thru 7/31/00

U14:  8/1/98 thru 7/31/99
 

*  Underage players looking to play on the U9 team will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on roster space.

*  Underage U9 players will be required to play a second year at the U9 level so they stay with their appropriate age group. 

*  Contact director for more specifics.

 

Travel Soccer Season

* We tryout in the Spring & play in the Fall.

* Practices usually begin in late July / early August. Usually 1x/2x per week, depending on the coach.

* Games start Saturday after Labor Day & run until mid-November. Games are typically either Sat or Sun, occasionally both.

* Travel time may vary, but typically less than 1 hour from Springfield.

* All teams play in a Columbus Day soccer tournament in October.

* Some teams play soccer all year round depending upon the level of commitment from the players and parents.
