1. If you have an SAA account, login to get started.  If you don't have an SAA account already, create a new SAA Account andaaand then login.
2. Modify information for children already if necessary.  Add any new children you want to register.
4. Pay for all of the childen you register.
5. Select the sports you want your children to play.
6. Make any special requests.
7. Volunteer to coach if you can.

In-person registration for Spring sports will be on Saturday, February 4th from 9am-12pm at the Springfield Township Building on Powell Road.

Frequently asked questions
What sports are available and when are they played?
The SAA offers a range of intramural and travel sports in the Winter, Spring and Fall.  Tryouts could be required for a travel sport.  Tryouts may occur months prior to the start of the official season.  Details will be posted on this website.

How much does it cost?
Child #1 = $90
Child #2 = $80
Child #3 = $65
Child #4+ = Free

- Travel team fees are extra and vary by sport. 
- Additional fees may apply by sport (e.g., umpire fees).
- A $25 late fee is applied on a sport-by-sport basis if you do not register by the cut-off date for the sport. 
- The cut-off to avoid 2012 late fees for spring sports is Feb. 29th.

Are fees adjusted or prorated based on number of sports signed-up for?
No. The standard membership fee is a flat fee.

Who can register to play in the SAA?
- Residents of Springfield, Morton and Swarthmore.
- Residents of the Springfield School District.
- Kids in kindergarten and above.

Can I request my child be placed team with another child?
Yes. You can make requests during the sport sign-up process.  We will do our best to accomodate requests.

How can I volunteer to coach?
We need your help!  The sport sign-up process allows you to indicate when you have an interest in coaching.

What time period does registration cover?
When you register in January you can sign-up for Spring, Fall and Winter sports.

Can I make changes to the sports I signed up for?
Yes. You can log into your account at any time to make changes.  Please note that if you register after the cut-off date for a sport you will incur a $25 late fee.

How come I don't see the right sports available for my kid?
The system is designed to present sports based on current grade, age and gender.  Make sure age and grade information you entered for them is correct.  DO NOT anticipate what grade they will be in next year (for Fall sports).  The system assumes each child will "graduate" at the end of each year and automatically promotes them.  So, if your child is in pre-school in the Winter, we will allow them to register for a Fall sport targeted for kids in Grade K in the Fall.

T-ball & coach pitch registration update
All special requests have been honored to this point.  All teams have been made up and the director will only be adding players to teams that need players. From this point on we will not honor any special requests.

T-Ball season starts March 31
T-Ball will begin on Saturday March 31 at Church Rd. All teams play at the same time every week starting at 9 AM and will run to 10:30 or 11 AM.  The T-Ball league does not practice during the week.  All players will hear from their coaches the week of March 25th, there is no need to call until Wednesday of that week.

Coach pitch baseball starts March 30
The coach pitch season will begin on the weekend of March 30th.  All games are played at Meadowgreen field which is located behind Moe’s.  The games are played on Friday night and Saturday.  This league does practice during the week at the same field.  Your coach will have the information about game times and practice times.  Your coach will call you after March 15th, there is no reason to call anyone until after that point.

Ready for some baseball? Join the SAA on Monday, May 21st as the Phils battle the Nationals. Limited discounted tickets are available for $27 (normally $30). While supplies last you can get tickets at the Blue Gym at Springfield High School 12:00 - 5:00 during SAA basketball on Sunday, February 19 or Sunday, February 26. You can pay by cash or check. SAA Tournament Baseball Page updated with tryout information and other details. The 12U District Team tryouts will begin on Wed Feb 22.  Please see the SAA BASEBALL page for tryout schedule and details.  There will be a meeting on Tues Feb 21 for all parents of prospective SAA tournament players.  Meeting is 7pm Tues 2/21 in the SHS Audion (use back entrance by the band room).

Online sports registration for 2012 is open!
The fastest and easiest way to register for 2012 SAA sports is now available. Log-in to your existing account or create a new SAA account if you did not create one for 2011. Once logged-in, manage (add/modify) information for your children if neccesary, pay the registration fee and select sports for your children. 

Please avoid creating more than one account per household so there are no duplicate payments!

Note that if you do not remember your password, the system will allow you to reset your password. The email could take a few minutes to get to your inbox.  Check your spam if you don't see one.
